Welcome

Benvenuti to my cooking site. I offer online cookery classes on Italian cuisine. I love showing people how to make pasta from scratch (and other things too). I post recipes, get involved with charity causes close to my heart and combine my passion for food and art whenever I can. Get in touch if you have any questions, feedback, comments or if you simply want to say ciao. Giulia

About me

I am from Rome and I live in London. I love cooking and making things from scratch and have fond memories of my family cooking together ever since I can remember. I have been making pasta pretty much my whole life.

I have learnt a lot of what I know from my papà, my nonna, our family traditions and from practising and experimenting. I love traditions and how they are passed down through generations. They shape who we are, regardless of where life has taken us.

I have also learnt the secrets of pasta all'uovo (fresh egg pasta) and how to make the perfect sfoglia from the sfogline in Emilia Romagna, Italy, who have been preserving this tradition for generations. It is incredible what you can achieve with two simple ingredients and a rolling pin. It is truly an art form.

I studied art history at university, so don't be surprised to find some art-related content too on my media. I like to combine these two passions of mine as much as I can.

Fatto in casa means homemade in Italian and isn’t it so rewarding when you make something from scratch? They say that sharing is caring and for me cooking is all about sharing, which is very much the mission of my project, whether it's through a recipe I post on my blog, content on my channels, a social cookery class or charity work.
